Elizabeth Morgan Cole, 82, died Friday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Pinetops Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cole was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Sally Webb Morgan, and wife of the late Hugh Carlton Cole. She served as a deacon and Sunday school class teacher of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro, as well as a member of the Virginia Henderson Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Cole is survived by a daughter, Tonya Engles and husband, Michael, of Goldsboro; a son, Tim Cole and wife, Kathy, of Washington, DC; a grandson, Matthew Engles of Goldsboro; and four sisters, Sallie Farner and Jean Owens both of Tarboro, Maragret Cole of Wilson, and Ann Ehrman and husband, Al of Greenville, S.C.
