Ada Lee Ford Murray, 77 passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Murray was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Dudley, to the late Fannie and Winston Ford.

Ms. Murray is survived by seven children and their spouses, James Lee Murray of Chicago, Ill., John and Rosalind of Fort Meyers, Fla., Johnnie Newkirk of Goldsboro, Jarvis and Carolyn Murray of Springfield, Va., Mack and Patricia Murray of Goldsboro, Derrick and Mary Murray of Fayetteville and Cheryl Murray of Goldsboro; two sisters, Aretta Holloman of Washington, D.C., and Gloria Ford of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a half-sister, Dorothy Grady of Goldsboro; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Earl Newkirk of Goldsboro.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A service of remembrance will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Augusta Chapel Church, 599 Durham Lake Road, Dudley. Following the services in the sanctuary, Ms. Murray's delicate temple, along with her adored family, will be escorted to Augusta Chapel Church Cemetery for interment rites.

Ms. Murray's earthen vessel is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the family is receiving prestigious
service.
