DUDLEY -- Billy Bryant, 69, Dudley, died Sunday.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was a former member of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
A service of Christian burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Thomas P. Norris, O.S.F.S., officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Everlinda Bryant; two daughters, Theresa Bryant and Edwina Bryant both of the home; and sister, Mary Mitchell of Montclair, N.J.
Family members will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home Friday.
