KENLY -- Jonnie Langston Rowe, 93, died Saturday morning, Aug. 6, 2011, in Smithfield Manor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fellowship Methodist Church, where she was a longtime member, with the Rev. Jim Huskins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born Sept. 23, 1917, in Nash County to the late John L. and Annie Leslie Cook Langston, she was the widow of Marvin Lee Rowe, who died April 5, 1996.
Surviving are her sons, Jimmie Rowe and wife, Margie, of Ahoskie and Jerry Rowe of Columbia, S.C.; sisters, Agnes Hagerman of Fayetteville and Patricia Hinnant of Pine Level; three grandchildren, Jamie Rowe, Jeremy Rowe and Christy Rowe Helzer; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren Rowe, Emily Helzer and Haley Helzer.
The family will receive friends immediately following the burial in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Fellowship Methodist Church, c/o Linwood Rowe, 4564 Rains Crossroads Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
