FLORENCE, S.C. -- William Edmund "Bill" Copeland Sr., 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Florence, with burial following in Mount Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
He was born in Wayne County, N.C., son of the late William Arthur and Smithy Penninah Dees Copeland.
He was a United States Army veteran, and was owner of Floor Covering Specialties in Florence.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen Cox Copeland of Florence; a daughter; two sons; a sister, Frances Hare of Goldsboro; five grandchildren; and two nieces.
