Carrie Wiggins Walker, 63, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Carrie was born in Wayne County Oct. 23, 1947, to the late Walter Wiggins Sr. and Effie Strickland Wiggins.
She was an LPN with Elder Care and Skill Creations, and worked with Doctor's Urgent Care for 20 years.
Carrie was a member of Oak Heights Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elbert Hollowell and the Rev. Juanita Hollowell officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Interment will be Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Carrie is survived by her husband, James "J.D." Walker; her son, Jamie Walker; her sister, Dorothy Mozingo of Goldsboro; her brother, Walter Wiggins Jr. and wife, Clevie, of Rocky Mount; her granddaughter, Hannah Mae Walker; her brothers-in-law, Roby Raynor of Goldsboro and Bob O'Neil of New Bern; and canine friend, Natalie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Blaine Walker, and her sisters, Alice Raynor and Lora O'Neil.
