MARION FRANCES SUGG MINSHEW

Marion Frances Sugg Minshew, 90, peacefully passed away July 14, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center from complications due to congestive heart failure.
She was born Jan. 1, 1921 in Raleigh, N.C., to the late Morgan and Lizzie (Watkins) Sugg.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, William Dow Minshew; brothers, George, "Buck," Fred and James Sugg; sisters, Elizabeth Rowell, Catherine Dawson, Helen Whitley, Sally Molina, Peggy Pope and Dorothy Daniels.
Survivors include brother, Charles Sugg and wife, Brenda; son, Gerald Minshew; daughters, Gail Howell, Betty Jo Godbey, MaryAnn Minshew, Sally Crumpler and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Chris Tripp, Jasmine Tripp-Johnson and husband, Doran, Brian Minshew, Michael Howell, Ashly Turlington, Jessica Godbey, Erin Godbey, Hannah Crumpler and Currin Minshew; great-grandchildren, Ashtan Howell, Jubei Johnson, Elijah Tripp, Mason Turlington, Mia Clark Crumpler and Adeline Minshew; sister-in-law, Betty Stuart; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Eureka United Methodist Church at 10 a.m.
Service will begin at 11 a.m., followed by interment.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers during this time of transition. A special thanks to Linda Locklear for her gentle care.
Mama was devoted to her family, church and community. She will always be remembered for her kindness of heart, resilient spirit and perceptual sense of humor. We love you mama, and know that you and daddy are doing the "Tennessee Waltz."
