Kenneth Ray Hare Sr., 71, passed away suddenly Monday, June 6, 2011, at his home.
Ken was born in Wayne County Oct. 4, 1939, to the late Levi Bryant Hare and Mae Odom Hare.
He worked for many years as a long distance truck driver.
Ken always enjoyed his time at Camp Clearwater, and the many friends he made while camping.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
Ken is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rose Vinson Hare; his daughter, Melody Ricks of Washington, D.C.; his son, Kenneth Ray Hare Jr. of Goldsboro; his granddaughters, April Hare and Amanda Hare; and his great-granddaughter, McKala Webb.
The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at his residence.
