Elizabeth Darlene Colvard Tolbert, 42, died early Monday at her residence.
Born in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Lois Cline Colvard.
She was the former aftercare director at Faith Christian Academy, and a former Sunday school teacher at Adamsville Baptist Church.
She is remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother and a faithful friend. She had a passion for her faith, children's ministries and her beloved animals.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Tolbert; two daughters, Darlene Tolbert Quinn and Kathleen Tolbert; a brother, Robert Colvard; and three sisters, Brenda Winebarger, Carolyn Kirby and Deborah Decker.
Family members will greet friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro and Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home in Lenoir.
