JOYCE KAY BOLES ROBERTS

STEPHENSON, Va. -- Mrs. Joyce Kay Boles Roberts, 59, Stephenson, Va., died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Roberts was born in 1951 in Arlington, Va., the daughter of the late Odell and Mary Boles Sr.
She was formerly a clerk for FEMA in disaster management, and a former bookkeeper for L. J. Wright Oil Co.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of Burnt Factory United Methodist Church, and a choir member.
She married John Keith Roberts, formerly of Pikeville, Sept. 19, 1970, in Fairfax, Va.
Surviving with her husband are her son, John Roberts and his wife, Natasha, of Winchester, Va.; daughter, Karen Roberts Stogsdill and her husband, Drew, of Stephens City, Va.; son, Kenneth Roberts and girlfriend, Sarah Sprague, of Winchester, Va.; five grandchildren, Chloe and Kelsie Stogsdill and Kayla, Ashley and Ayden Roberts; four sisters, Sissy Sparks of King, N.C., Christine Evans of Stafford, Va., Shirley Dicus of Manassas, Va., and Faye Rinker of Falls Church, Va.; three brothers, Odell Boles Jr. and Timothy Boles both of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Jessie Boles of Goose Creek, S.C.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Omps Funeral Home's Amherst Chapel, with pastor Steve Melester and the Rev. Kathleen Monge officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, Va.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home's Amherst Chapel.
