Virginia Fields "Jenny" Nelson, 77, of Goldsboro, passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2011.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
Jenny was born July 9, 1933, in Wayne County to the late Floyd and Ila Coker Fields. She was wife of the late Gordon Nelson. Jenny was the longtime manager of Edgemont Meats.
Jenny is survived by a sister, Betty Jane Coombs and husband, Will, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Jenny's family would like to extend a special thanks to Wanda Lane, Dorothy Eason, Shawna Holloman, Ella Cox and the seventh floor staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
