DERRIS JAMIE OATES
Derris Jamie Oates, 30, of 803 Slaughter St., died Sunday in Pitt Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Atkinson Oates; his father, the Rev. Derrick Oates; his stepmother, Nikita Oates; and two sons.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Branch Memorial United Holy Tabernacle with the Rev. Howard E. McNair officiating. Burial will follow in the Snead Family Cemetery, Bentonville.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro.
In addition to the residence, the family will receive at his father's home 309 Goldleaf Drive.
An additional viewing will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing following the service.
