Gail Lancaster Fleming, 71, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 ,at her home.
Gail was born in Wayne County Oct. 23, 1939, to the late Lloyd Ashley Lancaster and Lendora Edmundson Lancaster.
She was a member of Antioch Free Will Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Greg Stancil and Robert Loyd Fleming III officiating. Interment will follow at Pikeville Cemetery.
Gail is survived by her husband, Robert Loyd Fleming Jr.; her two sons, Robert Loyd Fleming III and wife, Kristin Sykes Fleming, of Sanford and Richard Ashley Fleming and Duffy Smithwick Fleming of Goldsboro; her brother, Lloyd Phillip Lancaster of Pikeville; and three grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Fleming, Andrew Paul Fleming and Sallie Brown Fleming.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Richard Ashley Fleming Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38101-2151.
