Nov. 11, 1937-Oct. 31, 2010

Frances Marie Taylor Cribbs, 72, passed away suddenly Sunday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

For 46 years, Marie was the loving wife of George B. Cribbs Jr.

She was born in Wayne County Nov. 11, 1937, to the late James Frank Taylor and Gertrude Brown Taylor.

Marie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her primary goal was the happiness and security of her family.

Marie could often be found volunteering at school and with other activities while her children were young, and later she turned that energy to her beloved grandchildren.

She was an active member of Oak Forest Church of Christ, where she was a teacher and encourager to many young men and women. Marie's desire was to train them to serve and be faithful to God. She loved her church family.

A service to remember Marie will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Oak Forest Church of Christ, with her son, Lennie Reagan, and Robert Goff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Tracie R. Wilson and husband, Phillip, of Pikeville; her sons; Lennie Reagan and wife, Caryn, of Pikeville, Justin Reagan of Dallas, Texas, and Bonnie Cribbs of Nashville, Tenn.; her brother, J.R. Taylor of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Jamey Reagan and wife, Amanda, Joey Reagan and wife, Dana, Allie Reagan, Brittany Reagan, Joshua Wilson and Bradley Wilson; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kelvin Eugene Cribbs, and her brothers, Leslie H. Taylor, Wesley Rue Taylor and Buster Brown.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the family home, 1262 N.C. 581 north in Pikeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Forest Church of Christ Building Fund, 2705 N. Park Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
