DUDLEY -- Elder Shirlene Haggins Davis, 54, 191 Outlaw Road, Dudley, passed away Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Her life and ministry will be celebrated Thursday at 1 p.m. at Gospel Light United Holy Church in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Dwight Morrisey officiating. Interment will follow in First Congregational Church Cemetery.
Precious memories are cherished by her loving husband, Albert Davis of the home; her children, Charlie Davis, Yolanda (Tyreese) Newkirk of Dudley, Thelma (Monte) Kornegay of Seven Springs and Albert Ray Jr. (Bobbie) Davis of Okinawa, Japan; her mother, Thelma Ellis of Dudley; seven siblings; and four grand-children.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence, where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
