MINA L. PHELPS

LAGRANGE -- Mina Louise Phelps, 95, Jason community of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010.
Miss Phelps was born June 18, 1915, in Greene County to the late A.G. Phelps Sr. and Nannie Pridgen Phelps.
A lifelong resident of Jason, Miss Mina was the oldest member of Jason Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with Scott Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Miss Phelps is survived by a niece, Janice Smith and husband, Dan, of Goldsboro; nephew, Michael Phelps of Raleigh; great-niece, Dawn Kegerreis and husband, Michael, of Winterville; great-nephew, Jesse Smith of Wilmington; her caregivers, Thomas and Ann Hardy of LaGrange; two great-great-nieces; and two great-great-nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday beginning one hour before the service, and at other times they will be at the home.
