CAROL TEACHEY HEBERT

Jan. 12, 1941-Sept. 20, 2010

Carol Teachey Hebert (pronounced "A-Bear"), 69, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend and teacher, born Jan. 12, 1941, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, surrounded by her family.

Carol was the daughter of the late Paul Milton Teachey, founder of Teachey Electric, and Ola Sewell Teachey.

Carol was a native of Goldsboro, N.C.

She was active in her church and with the Goldsboro Single Club and the Carolina Tarheel Twirlers.

Carol was a retired school teacher from Meadow Lane Elementary School after 25 years of loyal service. She was well loved by students and teachers, and will be remembered by all.

She lived life to the fullest, and enjoyed every minute of it even while battling with her illness in the past eight years.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Tom Dorman officiating.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Terry L. Carter of Stedman; her son, Rob of North Carolina; her granddaughter, Kelly Carter; her sister, Janice Boykin of Goldsboro, N.C.; and brother, Ronnie Teachey of Clayton.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Paul Ray Hebert in 1967.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or Alzheimer's Disease Research Fund in Carol's memory, P.O. Box 10608, Goldsboro, N.C., 27532.

The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
