William Ray Rose, 73, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Ray was born in Wayne County Nov. 5, 1936, to the late Hardy Rose and Minnie Evans Rose.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Kenneth Weaver officiating at Pikeville Cemetery.
Ray is survived by his wife, Mary S. Rose; his daughters, Deena Rose Pate of Goldsboro and Debra Susan Dearth of Ohio; his sister, Pauline Peacock and husband, Jack, of Kenly; his six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
