Died Aug. 16, 2010
Michael Lee King, 47, son of Robert and Mary Stevens and Willie Massey, departed this life Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A visitation will be Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, from 4 until 8 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at 11 a.m. at New Spirit Church, 1501 N. William St. Interment will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, Michael, also known as "Disco Head," is survived by his wife, Tammye of Goldsboro; daughter, Taria of Goldsboro; maternal grandmother, Charlotte King; aunts, Carolyn K. Wadsworth and Ella M. King all of Goldsboro; uncles, Kenneth King of Georgia and Randy King (Gwen); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at 111 N. Leslie St., where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral cortege.
Services of compassion and class are being rendered to the King and connected family by E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc.
