MOUNT OLIVE -- Ruby Lee Taylor Gardner, 88, passed away peacefully Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Kopanski officiating.
Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home. At other times, they will be at the home of Irene Hill at 787 Camp Jubilee Road, Seven Springs. The committal and burial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Calypso Cemetery.
Mrs. Gardner was a native of Jones County, and had lived in Duplin, Wayne and Lenoir Counties.
She is survived by three daughters, Martha Parker and friend, Jerry Foss, of Faison, Clara Alderman and husband, Charles, of Graham and Irene Hill of Seven Springs; two sons, Jimmy Ray Gardner and wife, Louise, of Pink Hill and David Hollingsworth and wife, Janet, of Faison; a sister, Annie Lee Stafford of Roanoke Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
