MARVIN E. WATERS JR.

Marvin Eugene Waters Jr., 82, passed away on Monday at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, Va., surrounded by his family.
Marvin was born in Wayne County on July 26, 1927, to the late Marvin E. Waters Sr. and Flossie Aldridge Waters. He was married to the late Elizabeth Colleen Waters, who preceded him in death on April 30, 2009. Marvin worked with the United States Postal Service with over 32 years of service. He was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 1806 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro. The Rev. Fred Crank and the Rev. George Lee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.
Marvin is survived by his sons, Marvin E. "Gene" Waters III and wife, Debby of Richmond, Va., Charlie "Chuck" E. Waters of Dunedin, Fla., and Harvey "Kim" Waters of Richmond, Va.; his sister, Margaret Willoughby of Goldsboro; his brothers, Billy H. Waters of Jacksonville and Thomas "Tommy" R. Waters of Raleigh; and his grandson, Eric C. Waters of Richmond, Va.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Waters.

Visitation and viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro. The family will also receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jennette, 304 Forest Drive, Goldsboro, this evening and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
