JIMMY FOXX VAIL

Jimmy Foxx Vail, 76, passed away on Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

Jimmy was born in Wayne County on March 25, 1934, to the late Clarence Malcolm Vail and Lila Hinnant Vail. Jimmy served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Bell South with over 20 years of service. Jimmy was a charter member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Dock Hobbs officiating.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Keith Vail of Pikeville; his daughters, Pam Hill of Goldsboro and Darlene Wilkerson and husband Mike of Pikeville; his brother, Henry Edward Vail of Garner; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his fiancée and dear companion, Carol Pollock of Goldsboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Holloman.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
