Mrs. Eva Mae "E-Mae" Cox, 77, of 3595 Thoroughfare Road, Goldsboro, N.C., died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, N.C.
A service of memory will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at noon at Atkinson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 634 S. Oak Forest Road, Goldsboro, N.C., with pastor Alton Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Family Cemetery on Woodpecker Road.
A public viewing will be held Monday, June 14, 2010, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C.
Mrs. Cox is survived by two daughters, Edith Cox Leon of the home and Sandra (Victor) Cox of Goldsboro; two sons, Major (Diana) Cox Jr. and Douglas (Louise) Cox both of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carrie B. Thompson of Goldsboro, N.C.; a brother, Leamon (Edna) Durham of Fayetteville; three sisters-in-law, Essie Cox, Geraldine Atkinson and Nina Durham; a brother-in-law, Joshua Bullock; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
