VINCENT VITALE JR.

Vincent Vitale Jr., 78, died April 11, 2010.

Committal service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.

Mr. Vitale served his country in the US Army as a lieutenant in the Korean War. He was a retired criminalist in Nevada and California, where he had worked with firearms for crime labs, was a tool mark examiner and was on arson task force.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Anne Broadhurst Vitale, formerly of Mount Olive; sons, Vincent Vitale III (Tiffany); their children, Gabrielle and Anthony of Cranston, R.I. and Michael Vitale (Kacy) of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; sister-in-law, Johnnie Faye B. Musgrave (Zeb) of Pikeville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to the Boy Scouts Tuscarora Council, 316 E. Walnut St., Goldsboro 27533 or to any other children's organization.
