JESSE JAMES "TENNY" WHITFIELD
DUDLEY --Jesse James "Tenny" Whitfield, 63, was pronounced dead at his home Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home and Crematory, Goldsboro.
Tenny was born March 7, 1947, to the late Eddie and Malissia Wooten Whitfield.
Tenny is survived by two children, Jessie C. and Quell Whitfield, both of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Helen Whitfield, Louise Doctor, Minnie Pettiway and Myrtle (Billy) Mitchell, all of Goldsboro, Bernice Kornegay and Sudie M. Lofton, both of Dudley, Gladys Johnson and Marjorie (Javin) Hackley of Washington D.C., Rachel (Isaac) Ferrell of Apex; brothers, Thomas (Dora) Whitfield of Dudley, Marvin (Ruth) Whitfield of Queens, N.Y. and Brownie L. Whitfield of Philadelphia, Pa.; three aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Flowers and memorial contributions may be directed to Rhodes Funeral Home and Crematory, 708 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro.
