John Earl Richardson, 79, 507 King Drive, died Friday at home.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First African Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lavern Richardson, and children.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at the home, where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
