In profound sorrow, the E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. family announces the passing of Wheata Baggett. Wheata Baggett 49, 402 N. George St., was born Oct. 30, 1960, to James N. Baggett and Doris B. Williams in Wayne County. She peacefully entered into eternal rest May 5 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. main chapel, 401 N. William St. in Goldsboro. After the services at the funeral establishment, Ms. Baggett, as well as her adored family, will be escorted to Old Mill cemetery for interment rites. Although Wheata's bereaved family must leave her earthly sheath in this resting place assigned to her, all can find comfort knowing that beyond those celestial shores there is a place so bright and fair, where all of God's children will have everlasting peace.

She attended Goldsboro High School.

After school, Wheata left Goldsboro and moved to Florida, where she reared a daughter, Caroletta Green. She later move back to Goldsboro and reared another daughter, Shavetta Baggett.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Caroletta Green and Shavetta Baggett; her mother, Doris B. Williams of Goldsboro; father, James N. Baggett of New Jersey; four sisters, Dorothy A. Goldsmith of Philadelphia, Pa., and Evelyn R. (Ivan) Williams, Margaret A. (Joey) Owens and Carmella M. (Willie) Dennis all of Goldsboro; four brothers, Ralph E. Hagans, Leonard J. Baggett, Whitley J. Baggett and Tommy L. Williams Jr. all of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; two uncles, Franklin Parks and Nancy Exum (godmother) of Goldsboro and Oleslie Freeman and Brenda Freeman of Greensboro; cousin, Justine Wellington of Goldsboro; a special friend, Lela Coley of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Wheata was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrin Maurice Williams and James Nathaniel Baggett.

A visitation for Ms. Baggett will be held tonight from 5 to 7 at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home alternate chapel, New Spirit Church Ministries, 1501 N. William St.
