MARY GRACE JONES RIVENBARK
March 25, 1933-April 22, 2010
Grace passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held today, at 1:30 p.m. at Beulaville Free Will Baptist Church, Pastor Calvin Heath officiating.
Grace was born in Beulaville. She enjoyed many years employed at JP Stevens and Minchew Buick Olds and as office manager for Andy Andrews Olds Nissan and Goldsboro Nissan. After retiring in 2005, she moved to Browns Summit, where her life was filled with reading, gardening and preserving her bountiful harvests.
She is survived by her two daughters, Elaine, husband Tim Apple, of Brown Summit, and Jo Ellen Basile of Ponce Inlet, Fla.; granddaughters, Sarah and Maggie Apple; grand-dog Lucie.
Because she was an avid gardener, the family finds solace in the fact that many trees were planted on the day of her death, Earth Day.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to your favorite charity.
