FAYETTEVILLE -- Karen Barnes Draughon, 44, passed away Sunday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Fayetteville Community Church. Funeral services will be held immediately after at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
Karen was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be remembered for her love for Christ, her family and friends and her church family. She truly loved all people and had a gift for making every person feel special and loved.
She is survived by her precious mother, Marjorie Barnes; her brother, Glenn and his wife, Dawn; niece, Rachel; nephews, Christopher and Gage, her best friend and sister in heart, Lisa Cashwell White; Kelvin Draughon; countless family and friends; and her beloved pets, Haley and Roxie.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Roger Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen's name may be made to Fayetteville Community Church, 2010 Middle River Loop, Fayetteville, N.C., 28312.
