Michael Aaron Nelson, 19, 5709 U.S. 70 East, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy, with the Rev. Donald Baldwin and the Rev. Kevin Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Nelson was born Nov. 26, 1990, in Pirmasens, Germany, to Frank Nelson and Revonne Carter.
Mr. Nelson is survived by his mother, Revonne Carter and fiance´, Brian Alexander, of Cary; his sister, Amy Nelson of Cary; his father, Frank Nelson of Charlotte; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Nelson of Cary; his extended family at the Howell Child Care Center in Goldsboro; and his sweetheart, Megan.
The family will receive friends today from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road in Stedman.
