Trina Barber Conley, 44, 774 Old Grantham Road, died Tuesday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with pastor Kelvin Gurley, pastor Josh Smith and pastor Chad Smith officiating. The family will remain after the service to greet friends and remember the life of Trina. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

She was the daughter of the late James R. and Irene Ballree Barber and wife of the late John Michael Conley.

She graduated from Goldsboro High School and was employed with Cooper-Standard Products.

Trina is survived by a daughter, Tenna C. Conley of the home; two sisters, Tammy B. Kornegay and her husband, Greg, of Goldsboro and Jaime B. Gibson and her husband, Ben, of Goldsboro; her maternal grandmother, Irene McDaniel of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; her mother and father-in-law, Carol and Tom Sutton of Goldsboro; her nephews and niece, Bill Travis Jr., Rayce Gibson and Rileigh Gibson; nine aunts; and six uncles.

She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Emmett W. and Shirley Ballree, and her paternal grandparents, Earl and Myrtle Hamilton.

The family will be at the home of her sister, Jaime Gibson, 6000 Highland Ave. in Goldsboro and requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Trina's memory be made to the American Lung Association National Headquarters, 1301 Pennsyl-vania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, D.C., 20004
