LILLIE MAE JACKSON

Lillie Mae Brock Jackson, 96, passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1000 Eleventh St. in Goldsboro. Interment will be at Wayne Memorial Park.

She was born in Grantham to the late Treicy Elizabeth Morgan and Carson Brock. Mrs. Jackson was the youngest of eight children and was the last to survive. She was married the late Nelson Jackson in 1933 and they were the parents of three sons and a daughter.

Mrs. Jackson was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. She enjoyed serving in her favorite position as a primary teacher to young children.

She had a great sense of humor and loved people. Her greatest joys were visiting and serving others, cooking and being with family.

She will be remembered for the life and example of our wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend.

She lived and taught the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was a woman of great worth and integrity.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her sons, Shelton of Salt Lake City, Utah and Robert of Goldsboro; her daughter, Patricia of Raleigh; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition parents, brothers and sister, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1964 and her eldest son, Gordon Lee, in 1972.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
