Bobby Daniel Burroughs, Sr., age 72, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Linda Burroughs officiating. Burial will take place at Burroughs Family Cemetery following the service.
He was born in Wayne County to the late James and Ruby Burroughs and was married to Dixie Burroughs.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Burroughs is survived by a son, Bobby Daniel Burroughs Jr. of Dudley, a daughter, Jeanne Burroughs Eakes of Dudley, two brothers, James D. Burroughs of Mount Olive and Ralph H. Burroughs of Goldsboro; three sisters, Julia Darden of Dudley, Lou Ellen Smith of Goldsboro and Carol Anderson of Garner; and four grandchildren, Chelsey Burroughs, Candis Frank, Kayla Frank and Caleb Eakes.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
