FAISON -- Stephen R. "Stevie" Jordan, 59, died Tuesday at Wayne Hospital.

Services will be held in the mausoleum chapel at Wayne Memorial Park Friday at 2:30 p.m., followed by entombment, with the Rev. Dock Hobbs officiatng.

Stevie was a master brickmason. He was a member of the 1968 graduating class of North Duplin High School and was a member of Smith Chapel Volunteer fire Deptartment.

He is remembered for making the best fish stews.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Hinnant Jordan; a daughter and son-in-law, Brittia Ann and Marc Rivard of Unionville, Conn.; granddaughters, Elaina and Hailey Rivard of Unionville, Conn.; a stepson, Jacob Smith of Goldsboro; his mother, Sudie Hobbs Jordan of Faison; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James D. "Jimmy" Jordan Jr. and Carolyn Jordan of Clinton, Ronnie and Gwen Jordan and Randy and Jeanette Jordan all of Faison; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Doris Hinnant of Goldsboro; two brothers-in-law, Gregg Hinnant and Jay Hinnant of Goldsboro; a special sister-in-law, Debbie Frazer of Goldsboro; a dear friend, James Ray Weeks of Mount Olive; and his nieces and nephews.

Stevie's father was the late James Delmus Jordan.

The family will receive friends at the chapel after the service and at other times at the home of his wife, 705 E. Ash St. in Goldsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.

Tyndall Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
