EDWARD "BOOGIE" POUNDS

PRINCETON -- Retired Master Sgt. Edward "Boogie" Pounds, 44, died Jan. 9 at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Saturday funeral arrangements are pending, but will be held with full military honors.
He was born April 27, 1965, to late Lola Baker Pounds in Brogden.
Mr. Pounds attended Princeton High School.
He served proudly in the United States Air Force, where he was involved in Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Southern Watch, in which he received the Bronze Star.
Mr. Pounds was currently working for North Carolina Department of Correction at Neuse Correctional Facility.
Vsitation will be held at Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Surviving are his wife, Lori Lassiter Pounds of the home; daughter, Lauren Lassiter-Pounds of the home; son, Nathan Pounds of the home; aunts, Pearl Allen of Garner, Anne Waters of Rosewood and Kathy Medlin of Holly Ridge; uncles, Bill Baker of Aurora, Herman Baker of Venice, Fla., Joe Baker of Smithfield and Jack Baker of Aynor, S.C.; nephews, Chris Pounds, Kyle and Tyler Toplovich of Greenville, S.C.; father-in-law, Tommy Lassiter of Princeton; mother-in-law, Faydeane Mclamb of Goldsboro; and loving sister-in-laws, Angela Toplovich of Greenville, S.C., and Gina Lassiter of Southport.
