Edward Cowdrey Sr., 78, 3929 Stevens Mill Road, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Falling Creek Baptist Church.
Born in Vermont, he was the son of the late Charles Cowdrey and the late Rose Come Cowdrey Price. He was the husband of the late Patricia Adams Cowdrey.
Mr. Cowdrey is survived by eight children.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
