MOUNT OLIVE -- Minnie Lee Arnette Holmes, 83, Summerlin's Crossroads community, died Sunday morning.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral chapel, with the Rev. Lamarr Jackson officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends and relatives in the chapel. Burial will be at Pate Cemetery Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Holmes was a homemaker and seamstress and was a member of Brock's Chapel Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Patricia H. Bowden, Katherine H. Craft, and Pam H. Swinson all of Mount Olive, and Wanda H. Davis of White Lake; five sons, Milton "Buddy" Holmes, Raeford Holmes, Sherwood Holmes and Joey Holmes all of Mount Olive, and Hoyt Lee Holmes of Seven Springs; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Drifty Holmes; two sons, Randy Holmes and Wayne Holmes; her parents, Lannie and Rosie Pate Arnette; and her brothers and sisters.
