VICTORIA P. KORNEGAY

Victoria Phipps Kornegay, 61, passed away Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brogden United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Shirley A. Ward and the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Kornegay was born in Duplin County June 21, 1948, to Lacy Mitchell Phipps and Doris King Phipps of Faison.
She had worked as a technician with Caterpillar.
Mrs. Kornegay is survived by her husband, Harold Kornegay; her children, Kristina Carlson of Mount Olive, Ronnie Kelly of Goldsboro and Gary Kelly of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at the home of Lance and Kristina Carlson, 497 Slap Out Road in Mount Olive.
