FAISON -- Vassie Beamon, 92, 3594 Preacher Henry Road, passed from labor to reward Monday at Sampson Regional Hospital.
Her life and legacy will be celebrated Sunday at 1 p.m. at Goshen Disciples Church. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.
She leaves to mourn a daughter, Annie Lane of Faison of Faison; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Mount Olive. The family will receive friends during an inspirational wake Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
