MORRIS HERRING

PRINCETON -- Morris Herring, 76, passed away Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
Morris was born in Duplin County March 1, 1933, to the late Barney L. Herring and Violet Chadwick Herring.
He was a retired building contractor.
Morris is survived by his children, Vickie Herring of Pikeville, Anthony Morris Herring of Princeton and Kenneth Lee Herring of Walstonburg; his grandchildren, Stacy Herring, Daniel Tyler Herring, Christy Michelle Herring, Morgan Elizabeth Herring and Conner Herring; his sister, Ruth Herring of Greensboro; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend, Mary Lou Thompson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton Herring, Paul Herring and Larry Herring, and his sisters, Dorothy Herring and Nora Herring.
Mr. Herring will lie in state today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
