MAGNOLIA -- Bettie Hodges Merritt, 78, 201 Merritt Road in Waycross community, died Wednesday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at New Bethel AME Church, Trinity Church Road in Magnolia, Saturday at 3 p.m., with Dr. Johnny Richard officiating. Burial will follow at Merritt Family Cemetery in Magnolia.
Mrs. Merritt was the widow of the late Garmon Merritt.
She is survived by four daughters.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home chapel, with rites performed by Maggie L. Strong, Order of Eastern Star # 639 at 6:30 p.m.
Rose Hill Funeral Home Service is handling the arrangements.
