DAVID "WAYNE" JONES

PIKEVILLE -- David "Wayne" Jones, 59, 411 Bartlett Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterwards. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born in Wayne County April 15, 1950.
His home church was Fremont Holiness Church.
Wayne loved the outdoors and working on his cars and trucks, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Jones; his mother, Dorothy Best of Pikeville; his stepfather, Donnie Best of Grantham; one son, Jody Jones and wife, Lisa, of Pikeville; one daughter, Lori Jones of Pikeville; three brothers, Earl Jones and wife, Sarah, of Pikeville, Bobby Jones of Pikeville and Ray Best and wife, Lisa, of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, Bailee, Brody and Emmalee.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father, Alton Jones.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Fremont Holiness Church, 726 Norwayne School Road, Fremont, NC, 27830.
