HERBERT L. HUTCHINS

Herbert Lorenzo Hutchins departed this walk of life Saturday.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Greater St. John Free Will Baptist Church, 613 Mitchell Road, Dudley. Burial will follow at Old Mill Cemetery in Goldsboro.

Born in Wayne County Dec. 13, 1966, he was the son of the late Leon Lorenzo and Rosa Lee Davis Hutchins.

He was educated in the Wayne County Public Schools and was a former employee of Best Distributing and Wal-Mart in Goldsboro. He was employed with the Wayne County Public Schools, having previously worked at Carver Heights and currently at Eastern Wayne High School.

Mr. Hutchins is survived by his sisters, Diwanda Hutchins of the home and Deborah Hutchins of Goldsboro; his brothers, James "Pop" Hutchins of Goldsboro and pastor W. C. (Revelene) Hutchins of Seven Springs; his nieces and nephews, Shekeeta Suggs, Corrie Hutchins, Leland Hutchins and B'Renda Hutchins all of Goldsboro; aunts, minister Willie Mae Minor of Augustus, Ga., and Mildred Kornegay of Dudley; godparents, Leslie and Maggie M. Kornegay; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
