JOHNNIE V. PICKETT

A celebration of life for Johnnie Vester Pickett, 42, who died Saturday in Orlando, Fla., will be held Saturday at noon at Original Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, 1005 S. John St., Goldsboro, with apostle Lawrence Boigier officiating. He will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born July 15, 1967, in Wayne County to elder Albertha Davis Pickett and the late Lawrence E. Pickett. He was the widower of Francis Pickett.
He is survived by his mother, Elder Albertha Pickett, and two daughters.
There will be a wake Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel.
At other times the family will receive friends at home of his mother, elder Albertha Pickett at 219 Randall Lane, Apt. 5, Goldsboro.
Arrangements are by Rhodes Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
