DUDLEY -- Nona Mildred Guess Chappell, 88, 4573 US Hwy. 117 alternate, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Andrews officiating. A private burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Marion, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Homer Franklin and Myrtle Hunt Guess and the wife of the late Albert L. Chappell.
She was a member of Goldsboro Worship Center and was retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was also a former member of TOPS.
Mrs. Chappell is survived by two daughters, Darlene Chappell Van Dyke of Dudley and Shirley Chappell Brose of Palm Springs, Calif.; one son, Donald Albert Chappell of Milford, Del.; two sisters, Gwendolyn Guess Matthews of Marion, Ky., and Anna Christine Guess of Medina, Ohio; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Family members will greet friends Monday immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home.
