NEWTON GROVE -- John Washington Weaver, 89, died Friday.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Roger White officiating.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Hubert Gilbert of Roseboro; daughter-in-law, Dora Weaver-Orr of Monroe; grandchildren, Sandra Cannady, Scott Weaver, Chris Weaver; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Lee of Four Oaks; half-brothers, Huey Weaver of Raleigh and Jimmy Weaver of Garner; half-sisters, Lila Mae Rose of Clinton and Judy Britt of Garner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Cox Weaver, and a son, John Earl Weaver.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
