WARSAW -- Evelyn Estelle Vernon Gore, 70, died Wednesday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Community Funeral Home chapel in Warsaw. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery.
She was born in Duplin County Dec. 29, 1938, to the late Jessie Earl and Mary Susan Johnson Vernon. She was the wife of the late Julius Ray Gore.
She is survived by a son.
Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at Community Funeral Home in Warsaw.
The family is being served by Community Funeral Home of Warsaw Inc.
