June 9, Lucy Gray Lane Hines went home to be with her Heavenly Father and her husband, the late Herman Hines.
Homegoing services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Pentecostal Holy Church in Goldsboro with burial following at Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Wayne County Nov. 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie Thompson Lane.
She was a member of Pentecostal Holy Church in Goldsboro where she served as a Mother.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Michael C. Hines and wife, Ruby, of Fayetteville, Herman A. Hines Jr. and wife, Alice, of Goldsboro and Dr. Shelton R. Hines of Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Stephanie A. Hines of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, 1403 E. King Drive.
