Virginia Bass Potter, 84, died this morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Raymond Potter officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late George and Nola Branch Bass and the wife of the late Milford Potter.
Mrs. Potter is survived by her grandson, Trey Jarman and his fiancée, Della Rochelle, of Pikeville; a great- grandson, Connor Jarman of Pikeville; two sisters, Margie Bass West and Shirley Bass Justice of Goldsboro; and special friends, Dottie Underwood and the Renn Family of Goldsboro.
Family members will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home of her sister, Margie West, 403 Proctor St., Goldsboro.
Flowers are welcome and memorial gifts may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC, 27534.
