TEACHEY -- Gladys Murray Sloan, 78, died Tuesday at Carolina East Hospice Care Center in Kenansville.
Funeral services will be held from Rockfish A.M.E. Church in Wallace Saturday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. T. Cambell officiating. Burial will follow at Rockfish Church Cemetery in Wallace.
Her survivors include her son, Jimmy Sloan of Hampton, Va.; five daughters, Latricia Sloan, Gardine Johnson, Sandra Sloan and Windy Sloan all of Teachey and Mable Sloan-Jones of Willard; two sisters, Armentia Botts, Baltimore, Md., and Flossie Dewar (George) of Willard; seven sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A visitation of family and friends will be held Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, and at other times at the home of her daughter, Latricia Sloan, 121 Chadwick Court, Teachey.
